H.1135/S.709, An Act for supportive care for serious mental illness, requires the commercial insurers to cover Coordinated Specialty Care (CSC) and Assertive Community Treatment (ACT), two evidence-based treatments that have demonstrated positive outcomes and cost savings in caring for people with psychosis. H.1276/S.703, An Act relative to Community Behavioral Health Centers (CBHCs), would require commercial insurers to pay the bundled rate for services provided by CBHCs so that all people, regardless of payor, can access the full range of community-based services offered by CBHCs.
