Oral health can be an overwhelming concern for individuals living with mental health or substance use challenges, but often is not commonly addressed. Oral health, mental health and substance use treatment are intricately linked. Uncoordinated oral and behavioral health care and lack of access to care can drastically exacerbate existing health disparities, increase health care costs, and result in poor overall health outcomes for those most at-risk.

To address this growing unmet need, the Center of Excellence for Integrated Health Solutions (CoE-IHS) developed a toolkit, Oral Health, Mental Health & Substance Use Treatment: A Framework for Care Coordination & Integration. Join The National Council on Tuesday, December 14th from 3:00-4:00pm ET to hear from experts in the field as they discuss the ways you can incorporate similar integration models from the toolkit within your practice settings.
