The report builds on the findings and recommendations from the Child Trauma Task Force's December 2019 report Next Steps for Addressing Childhood Trauma: Becoming a Trauma-Informed and Responsive Commonwealth and integrates research on post-disaster trauma and analysis of the Commonwealth’s capacity to meet children’s mental health needs during the COVID-19 pandemic.
