Model Jail Diversion and Reentry Services Programs

The purpose of this paper is: 1) to summarize the recent literature related to model jail diversion and reentry services and programs, and, 2) to offer guidance to Massachusetts’ state and local jurisdictions in the continued development of a full continuum of effective and evidence based jail diversion services for persons with mental illness and/or substance use conditions.
