MAMH Testimony in Support of H.2325/S.1493, An Act Related to Rehabilitation, Re-Entry, and Human Rights for Incarcerated Persons

Written testimony to Chair Carlos Gonzalez, Chair Walter Timilty, and members of the Joint Committee on Public Safety and Homeland Security in support of H.2325/S.1493, An Act related to rehabilitation, re-entry, and human rights for incarcerated persons. This legislation would provide more humane conditions for incarcerated people, ending the harsh restrictions and deprivations that too many now suffer in restrictive units. It also would require that all incarcerated people have access to programs and treatment that create true safety.
