Stephen Pinals, MD – Dr. Pinals is Board Certified in Psychiatry & Neurology with subspecialty certification in both Geriatric Psychiatry and Psychosomatic Medicine. Dr. Pinals completed his psychiatric residency at Massachusetts Mental Health Center in Boston, MA, and fellowship training in geriatric psychiatry at McLean Hospital, both affiliated with the Harvard Medical School (HMS).

In his previous role, he served as the Director of Geriatric Psychiatry at Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA), where he had the opportunity to advance many initiatives in geriatric education and clinical practice. In 2015, Dr. Pinals was appointed Chairman of Psychiatry at St. Joseph Mercy Health System in Ann Arbor, MI, where he worked to improve access to behavioral health services and develop a psychiatric continuum of care for patients of all ages. Starting in June of 2022, Dr. Pinals returned to CHA in the role of Chief of Geriatric Psychiatry where he is working with colleagues to enhance geriatric educational programs, expand clinical services and access to care for older adults.
