MAMH is an active partner in the Massachusetts Mental Health and Substance Use Parity Coalition. The coalition is led by Health Law Advocates and consists of over a dozen consumer and health care provider advocacy groups. Together, we enhance access to behavioral health care by fighting for stronger enforcement of state and federal mental health parity laws. We work together on legislative strategies, for instance on bills to increase the transparency of provider networks and to expand private insurance coverage of children’s mental health and psychiatric rehabilitation services. We also collaborate to ensure that the needs of people with mental health conditions are addressed in state agency regulations.
